Sakthi Sugars Ltd to set up 24.5 MW cogen plant at Poonduraisemur in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. Bagasse and imported coal will be used as fuel. The water requirement is estimated as 766 m3/day, which will be met from both ground water and Bhavani river. The land requirement is estimated as 9.73 acres.
