NCS Sugars to set up 20 MW bagasse based cogeneration power project in Latchayyapeta in Vizianagarm district of Andhra Pradesh. It is estimated that 1000 TPD of bagasse will be used during season and 700 TPD during off season. The quantity of coal requirement is estimated as 275 TPD and water will be souced from Swarnamukhi river. There is an existing power plant of 2.7 MW capacity and the proposed plant will be an expansion of the same. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 800 million.

Shravana Power Projects to set up 6 MW Biomass based Power Project at Thakkalapally in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh. The project will use poultry litter as fuel. In addition rice husk and cotton stalks upto 25% will be used as supplementary fuel. The land requirement is estimated as 11.04 ha.

Raus Power Ltd is planning to set up a 3.66 MW biomass power from poutly liter in Duppalagudi village in AP with an investment of Rs. 168.5 million. It will generate power from steam generated from a boiler which will use poultry liter. The project involves one unit of travelling grate type boiler of 20 TPH capacity and one unit of steam turbine of 3.66 MW. The project will be commissioned in the year April 2009.
