Gillanders Arbuthnot & Co. Ltd to set up 6.5 MW Cogeneratin Power Plant at Akbarpur in Sangrur district of Punjab. The project will be based on biomass and coal as fuel in the ratio of 85:15. Water requirement is estimated as 1488 m3/day to be obtained from bore wells. 40 acres of land is already available within the spinning mill complex where power plant will be located. In addition 4 acres of land has been procured for storage adjacent to the existing complex.
