Synergy Shakthi Renewable Energy Ltd to set up 10 MW biomass power project at Bargur in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. The land requirement is 11.61 ha. Biomass only will be used as fuel. Its requirement is estimated as 307 TPD. No coal to be used. Air cooled condensers will be used. A stack of height 45 m will be provided. Water requirement is estimated as 194 kld, which will be supplied by SIPCOT.
Astro Energy & Bio Systems Ltd to set up 10 MW Biomass Power at Kadaneri and Nalamaran villages in Periyur Taluk in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. The land requirement is estimated as 46 acres. Biomass requirement is estimated as 300 TPD. Air- cooled condenser shall be adopted. Water requirement is estimated as 228 m3/day.

Empee Distilleries had set up 10 MW biomass project at Mukudi in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up of a boiler with a capacity of 45 tph, supplied by Cethar Vessels, and generators by Quingdao Jienberg Engineering Company Ltd and air cooled condenser from Paharpur. The boiler will use Prosopis juliflora as primary fuel. The project had been commissioned in 2007.
