Empee Distilleries had set up 10 MW biomass project at Mukudi in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up of a boiler with a capacity of 45 tph, supplied by Cethar Vessels, and generators by Quingdao Jienberg Engineering Company Ltd and air cooled condenser from Paharpur. The boiler will use Prosopis juliflora as primary fuel. The project had been commissioned in 2007.
